Check the weather

Jebel Jais offers consistent weather conditions yet we recommend you check the latest weather reports prior to your trip.

Hydration

Jebel Jais is usually 10 degrees cooler than the rest of UAE, but hiking requires constant hydration. Make sure you bring enough water with you on your hiking trip.

Buddy up

Always bring a buddy along with you. Your trip will be more enjoyable with someone’s company, and should an accident or emergency arise, you can count on their support to raise alarm or seek assistance.

Wear appropriate clothing

The mountain weather can change with the wind, so it is also advisable to dress in layers so that it is easy to change should the temperature drop or rise. If you’re exploring the mountain on foot, ensure you’re wearing comfortable footwear that fits and offers grip. Trainers or walking boots with a sturdy and thick sole with traction are best suited.

Bring a first aid kit

Always carry a basic first aid kit and familiarize yourself with it.

Alcohol, loud music and drones are prohibited

Please ensure that you do not carry any prohibited items or disturb the environment.

Do not interact with wildlife

Preserve the nature and do not disturb the animals and wildlife.

Stay off private lands and farms

While enjoying your time in the mountain, do not trespass in the private properties of others.
